Son of Hiram and Nancy (Blue) Hendrix. He was born in Illinois and moved with his parents to Dawson County Nebraska. He married Florence Huey, likely in Dawson County, Nebraska between 1900 (found living with his brother John's family in Lexington, Dawson, Nebraska) and 1910 where he is found married and living in Overton, Dawson, Nebraska. By the time he registered for the WWI Draft in 1918 he was living in Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington with his wife and working as a ship builder. By 1920 he was a "general farmer" living near Minnehaha in Clark County, Washington, where he is also found in 1930. When he registered for the WWII draft in 1942 at age 61 he was living in Vancouver again.
