She was born Nora Melton on September 29, 1909, at Oxford, and was married to James S. Hendrix November 4, 1934, at Melbourne. Following their marriage, they made their home at Melbourne until 1954, when they moved to Chelan.
Mrs. Hendrix was a member of the Lake Chelan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James of the home; three daughters, Anita Williams of Moses Lake, Wash., Gay Kestner of Eagle Rock, Virginia, Lorita Beeson, of Chelan, Wash., two sons, Eudell of Chelan, Wash., and Jerry of Pullman, Wash., three brothers, Marvin Melton of Brockwell, Ark., Leonard Melton, of Calico Rock, Ark., Rev. Troy Melton of Flippin, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 24 from the Lake Chelan Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Thomason officiating. Committal services and interment followed at Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan.
