Charles Bender Henry, Sr., born 12 September 1939 in Ruston, LA, passed away Tuesday, 22 January 2013 in Monroe, after a decade long battle with cancer.

He was 73 years old, a husband, a father, member of Parkview Baptist Church, served honorably in the USAF and with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Department, and retired locally from Image Max Corp. Mr. Henry was also a member of the Northeast Louisiana Street Rodders.

Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Ruth Lowery and Rubin M. Henry Sr.; his brother James R. Henry; and son, Robert Tate Henry.

He is survived by his wife Gale Allen Henry; brothers Rubin M. Henry Jr. and Andrew R. Henry; children, Charles Henry Jr. and wife Terry, Michelle Henry McBride and husband Danny, Patrick Jason Henry, Brent Devenney and wife Lori, Chad Devenney and wife Amy; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, 25 January 2013 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA with pastors Erby Burgess and Brent Devenney officiating.

Interment will be in Kramer Cemeteries, Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Alexandria, LA. Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the following Ouachita Parish Sheriff Deputies: Bob West, Pat Ellington, Joe Castagnetta, Earl Henry, Wayne Seidenspinner, and Brad Duchesne. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Larry Johnson's Sunday School Class.
