Shirley Jean Herres, 80, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Born April 13, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of William Randolph and Effie Lily (Downum) Sneckner.

Shirley was a homemaker, and a member of First Plymouth Church, Random Acts of Kindness, Community Women's Club and Welcome Wagon.

Family members include: her daughters, Julie (Bill) Latenser and Jennifer Babeon; son, Michael (Janelle) Herres; grandchildren, Laura (Adam) Vehe, Sarah (Justin) Freitag, William and Jonathan Latenser, Bobby (Jasmine) Babeon, Danie (Monica) Babeon, Kate (Lance) Edwards, Will (Jes) Herres, Alexander and Macrae Zapalla; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Jaynie, Lee, Grace, Nola, Bobby and Charlotte; brother, William (Lova) Sneckner; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and husband, Robert Herres.

Memorial Service at First-Plymouth Church, Lincoln. Inurnment in Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
