Survivors include her son, Edwin Bayliss of Kaufman, TX; daughter, Elizabeth A. Childress and her husband, Dr. Earl A. "Woody" Childress of Delhi and grandchildren, Amanda Childress of Little Rock, AR and Whitney Simon and her husband, Jason of Southhaven, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Bayliss and her parents, Walter Herschell and Ethel Roberts Herschell.
Martha is buried in the Bellwood Annex Cemetery. Bellwood Annex Cemetery is directly across the street from Bellwood and Graceland Cemeteries on Pullen Street in Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., Arkansas.
