Lebanon — Mrs. Patricia Louise Herschell, 79, Lebanon, entered heaven on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.

She was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Latimer.

As a child, Pat resided in Indianapolis where she was a 1949 graduate of Decatur Central High School.

She was married to Donald Eugene "Don" Herschell in Indianapolis on May 18, 1951. Mr. Herschell died on April 6, 2006.

As a resident of Lebanon1971-1993, Pat and Don owned and operated Herschell's House of Appliances. Pat also stayed busy raising their five children.

Mrs. Herschell was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, the out-of-doors where she tended to her rose garden, and music, as she was a former jazz singer. Memberships: Christian Scientist.

Survivors include four children, Mr. Donald B. Herschell and wife, Debbie, Thorntown, Ms. Patrice J. Reckley, Jamestown, Mrs. Becky C. Bewley, Jamestown and Mrs. Kristine H. Calvert and husband, David E., Jamestown,; a sister, Ms. Joanne McGraw, Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren, Anna C. Herschell, Timothy D. Herschell and wife, Andrea, Sarah E. Herschell, Joseph D. Reckley, Derek A. Reckley, Danielle N. Durivage and husband, Drew, Abbie K. Herschell, Kate A. Williams and husband, Scott, George S. Barr and wife, Debbie, Alexandra M. Aubrey and husband, Neal, Melissa J. Bewley, Savannah K. Bewley, Devon G. Bewley, and Juan J. Munoz and wife, Carrie; four great-grandchildren, Mark Zion Herschell, Brea Herschell, Daniel Durivage, and Julian Munoz.

A son, Mark D. Herschell, two sisters, and five brothers are deceased.

Visitation is planned from noon to 2 PM, Monday, Nov. 15, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.

Funeral services will be 2 PM. Monday, Nov. 15, at Myers Chapel of Memories, Rev. Eddie Martin and Chaplain David Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
