MRS. ANGENE, 73, DIES IN HOSPITAL; FUNERAL THURSDAY
Mrs. Mary Angene, 73, of Lykens Township died at 12:45 this morning in Community Hospital where she had been admitted Sept. 11 for medicale care. She had been in failing health the past two and one-half years.
Born April 23, 1892 in Holmes Township, her parents were John Wesley and Christine Pfeifer Hershberger. She was married Dec. 24, 1914 to Sevance G. Angene who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Harrer of Lykens Township, three grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Lust of Sycamore and the Misses Esther and Cora Hershberger of Bucyrus.
Mrs. Angene had been a lifetime resident of Crawford County and a member of Concord Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
The Rev. Don Sprague will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Wise Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brokensword Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
