served as a Capatin in the 2nd Bn., The East Surrey Regiment. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order.He was 32 and the second son of Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount and Viscountess Lifford, of Hill House, Lyndhurst, Hants.
