FINAL RITES HELD FOR WILMA AYLOR
Funeral Services Held Here Wednesday For Wilma Aylor, 81, Who Died In California
Wilma Aylor, lacking a month of being 81 years old and wife of the late Charles William Aylor, passed away Friday, August 23, after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter, Faye Monasmith at Hayward, California.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Wherry Chapel in Table Rock, with the Rev. Tom Whitney in charge. Burial was made in the Table Rock cemetery.
Pallbearers included Clarence Covault, Orvin Gold, Wayne Covault, Orval Johnson, Roy Briant, and George Gilbert. The music was sung by Mrs. Ardyce Freeman with Mrs. C. W. Covault at the piano.
Mrs. Aylor was born October 1, 1876 in Table Rock, the daughter of A. L. and Frances Heywood. She attended Table Rock public schools, and was graduated from Table Rock high school with the class of 1893.
Wilma spent the major portion of her life in and around Table Rock. Early in life she was converted to God and became an active member of the Methodist church. She has always been a hard worker for the church. While living in Naplier, Mo., where there was no church, she worked untiringly until she was instrumental in getting a church organized and built. Later in life, she transferred to the Christian church in Table Rock, where she was Sunday School superintendent for a number of years.
She is survived by two sons, Ray and Roy of Plattsmouth, Nebr.; two daughters, Thelma O'Keefe of Albany, Mo., and Faye Monasmith of Hayward, Calif.; one sister, Katherine Harrison of Alhambra, Calif.; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
