West Columbia - Services for Evelyn H. Amick, 93, of West Columbia, will be held at 4 p.m. today, April 9, 2002, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. K. Eugene Overcash, with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Jones, Kyle Phillips, George Boatwright, Jerry Frick, Brian Funderburk and Jimmy Mack. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge. Mrs. Amick, widow of Owen M. Amick, died Saturday, April 6, 2002. Born in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Andrew and Rydonnie Haywood. She was formerly employed by Palmetto Club in Columbia and Amick's Poultry Farm in Batesburg. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Louise A. and Eric Mack of Gaston, Marguerite A. and Edward Kitchens of West Columbia; son, Thurmond D. Amick of West Columbia; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Ralph M. Amick. © The State, Columbia, SC, 9 Apr 2002
