Vi Biscomb, 89, Marion, died at 5:32 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010 in her residence. She was born in Albany, Indiana to the late George and Elizabeth (Kramer) Hillyer and was a 1938 graduate of Marion High School.
Vi married Charles R. Biscomb on September 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1971.
Vi retired from World Gospel Mission in 1982. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Shari (Biscomb) Melto, Newbury, Mass.; sister, Evelyn Mitchell, Marion;
brother, Robert Hillyer, Marion; granddaughter, Morgan Biscomb Melto, Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles.
Funeral Service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN, with the Rev. Ray Kughen officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 in the funeral home.
