EAST BRUNSWICK - Albert V. Hillyer of 10 Washington Ave died yesterday in Roosevelt Hospital, Edison, at the age of 89. He was a retired master mechanic and artistic designer in the topper and metals trade at the U. S. Metal Refining Co. of Carteret. He had worked there for 35 years before his retirement in 1935. He was a charter member of Joel Parker Council No. 69, Jr OUAM of South Amboy. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Lena Cook Hillyer and formerly resided in Woodbridge. Survivors are two daughters; Mrs. William Romond. with whom he resided, and Mrs. William Coll Woodbridge: two sons; Courtney of Manasquan and Harvey of Woodbridge; and five grandchildren will be held Saturday: Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green St., Woodbridge. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.
