Mary J. Arndt, 60, of the Town of Spruce, passed away at home, under the care of her loving family and friends after a 22 year battle with cancer. She was born to the late Alfred and Dorothy (Dietrich) Hoffman, December 16, 1955 in Oconto Falls. She married David Arndt June 25, 1977 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike. Mary graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1974. Her passions include: sewing, quilting, traveling with her husband, David, to Canada and the western United States, NASCAR and supporting her sons in off road racing, and especially spending time with her grandson, Nikoni. She was a member of Safe Haven Community Church in Pound.
Surviving are her husband, David; she was a loving and supportive mother to three children, Amy Jo (Anthony) Cannata and her favorite grandchild Nikoni; Andrew Arndt, and Richard Arndt, two brothers, Charles (Barbara) Hoffman and Father William Hoffman, two sisters, Carol (Keith) Helmle and Julie Geiger and special aunt Marlene Rosner. She was also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many supportive friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her in-laws, Robert and Pearl Arndt.
The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday, April 20th at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father William Hoffman officiating. Mary will be placed to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery, Spruce.
