HOFFMANN FUNERAL: Remains Were Taken to Cincinnati Crematory. " The funeral of counsilman, Jacob Hoffmann of Newport, took place today from his residence on West Fifth St. The Musicians' Protective Association, with Schmitte's Band, of Cincinnati, led the funeral cortege, which was quite lengthy. The remains were takent to the Cincinnati Crematory, where they were incinerated. The ashes are to be interred in Evergreen Cemetery. The General Council held a special meeting last night and appointed a committee to draft suitable resolutions on the death of Hoffman. A copy of the resolutions was ordered sent to the family of the deceased and a record will be inserted in the minutes."
