MRS. HERMAN J. ALFERS, the former Catherine Hoffmann, died at 9:35 p.m. Monday at her home, 923 Mary. She formerly lived at 1120 Logan. Mrs. Alfers, 93, was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Seadler, Sr.; 14 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Vincent dePaul Church, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. The body is at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison.
