LOUISVILLE — Frances H. Allen, 99, of Louisville died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Flora Gardens Care Center, Flora.

Frances was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Oskaloosa Township, Clay County, the daughter of Omer and Lena (Combs) Holeman. She married Oren G. Allen on Dec. 7, 1927, in Indiana, and he preceded her in death in 1961.

Frances was a kitchen helper at restaurants in the Louisville area and a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville.

She is survived by her foster son, Ron (Sue) Tolliver of Flora; daughters, Betty Griffy and Martha (John) Blair, all of Louisville; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Harold Griffy; daughter, Vivian May Allen in infancy on May 12, 1929; brothers, Olis Holeman, Alfred Holeman and Hebert Holeman; and sister, Hellena Robinson.

There will be no funeral service. Cremation rites will be accorded as requested by Frances.

Burial will be in Christian Home Cemetery, rural Louisville.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.
