Banks, Mrs. Louise Holiday-Died saturday, June 10, 1995, at the Medical center of Baton Rouge. She was 53, a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was an educator with the St. Martin Parish School System. Visiting at Carney & Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin st., 2 to 5 pm. Wednesday. Religious services at Greater King David Baptist Church, at 8 pm Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. John E. Montgomery, Dismissal at 10 am Thursday. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by two daughters, Yolandra Newton, Orlando, Fla., and Melamie Banks, Champagne, Ill.; a son, Roderic Newton, Baton Rouge; Three sisters, Annie Holiday Jackson, Hattie Holiday Hulbert, and Addie Holiday Washington, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Felton, Guy Jr., and Eddie Holiday, all of Baton Rouge; a godchild, Theresa Litt, Los Angeles; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
