Funeral services for Dolly E. Brouse, 82, 16 Alvern Ave, Massena, were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena with Rev. Gregory Gifford officiating. Spring burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Massena.
Mrs. Brouse died Dec. 17, 1988 at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena, where she had been a resident since Feb. 1, 1984.
Surviving are two nephews, Paul and Gilbert Collins, both of Massena; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was born Aug. 23, 1906 in Massena, daughter of Ernest and Lula Hackett Holiday. She attended Massena schools and was a hairdresser in the Massena community for 15 years.
She married William F. Hankard July 7, 1930 at Sacred Heart Church in Massena. She later married Harold Brouse on Nov. 4,1935 in Cornwall, Ont. He died in 1968.
She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Massena.
