Mrs. David Diefendorf

Mrs. Jennie Diefendorf, aged 87, died Tuesday of this week at the home of her niece, Mrs. Grace A. Kniffen in Worcester. She had been ill for five years.

Jennie Holliday was born Sept. 14, 1864, at middlefield, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Page) Holliday. She married David A. Diefendorf March 16, 1887, in Worcester. The ocuple moved to Oneonta in 1904. Mr. Diefendorf, who died February 15, 1943, was for many years employed by George I. Wilbur and was a director of the Wilbuer National Bank.

Mrs. Diefendorf was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oneonta and a former member of the Oneonta Woman's Club.

Survivors are a nephew, George W. Holliday of Cooperstown; two nieces, Mrs. kniffen and Mrs. Effie D. Dutton of Northfield, Vt., five grandnieces and five grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Skinner Funeral Home. The Rev. Leslie Jones, pastor of the Worcester Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in maple Grove cemetery.
