Topeka State Journal Wednesday 15 May, 1974, pg. 11:

Mrs. Edna Holliday, 1135 college, died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted May 8. She had a heart ailment. She was born in Newton and lived in Topeka many years. She lived at 1719 Belvoir Court before she entered the Methodist Home in July of 1973.

She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church, the Topeka Woman's Club, and the Soroptimist Club. She also was a member of Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas, the Woman's Kansas Day Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of 1812.

Mrs. Holliday was chief clerk for probate court of Shawnee County and was employed by Shawnee county 37 years before she retired in 1962.

She was married to Wilbur N. Holliday June 1, 1922. He died August 1, 1927. Survivors include 2 sons, John P. Holliday, Frankfurt, Germany, and William M. Holliday, London, England; a brother, Ralph w. Davis, Topeka; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
