Marriage - Miss Dorothy Stauffer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stauffer, of 33 John Street, Patchogue, became the bride of Albert Holtz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emile Holtz of Mastic Beach, in a pretty wedding ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Patchogue, in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. The Rev. George K. Swartzfager performed the ceremony. The bride wore a blue nylon ballerina length dress with a matching hat and veil. The was made by the bride. She carried a shower bouquet of white sweet peas and roses with lilies-of-the-valley on satin ribbons. Mrs. Roy Wanamaker of Nesconset, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a dress of pink nylon, styled like that of the bride. Her colonial bouquet was of pastel-shaded sweet peas. The mother of the bridegroom was attired in cocoa brown with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. The church was decorated with bouquets of white flowers. The organ selections were by Leroy Peterson, organist. A reception for 60 guests followed at the Patchogue hotel, which was decorated with wedding bells and white streamers. The bride's table was centered by a beautifully decorated four-tiered wedding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Holtz left for a honeymoon in Vermont and from there will go to Washington, D.C. Upon their return they will live at 11 Country Road, Bellport. The bride is a secretary for her father in the Stauffer Piano company, Patchogue, while her husband is a chemist employed by Justus Roe and Sons, Patchogue.
