Age 88, passed away on Saturday, January 23rd 2016 at Auburn Manor in Chaska, Minn. He was born on January 26, 1927 at home near New London, Minnesota to Arthur and Isabel (Thompson) Hookom. He was the middle of five children. Ken grew up in the New London area where he attended a rural one room elementary and high school until age 15. He graduated from La Jolla high school in California. Ken enlisted in the Air Force Cadet Reserves in 1944 and went into active service in 1945. He was stationed at several bases including Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in March of 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Evelyn Olson and Myrtle Tosse, and his brother Bob.
