McCloughan Gazeena B., passed away peacefully on March 8, 2002. Gazeena is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Susanna Hook; sister, Ann Heimsness; and brothers, Harry and Henry Hook. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray; her son, Robert and his wife Susan; 2 grandchildren, Kaitlin and Quinn; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hook; and many loving nieces and nephews. Gazeena was born in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, near Grundy Center. She came to Minneapolis at age 15 to attend beauty school. Upon graduation she worked as an operator at 5013 - 34th Ave S. She later bought the shop and operated it until after World War II. Later, she worked as an operator in Golden Valley and at Trevilla. For many years Gazeena was active at Brunswick United Methodist Church. The family cabin on Green Lake, East of Princeton, was a significant part of her life. Here she had many friends and family gatherings. Gazeena will be remembered by all who know her a person who always wanted to help. Her greatest happiness in recent years was being with her grandchildren. Funeral service Monday, March 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Crystal Lake Funeral Home, corner of Penna and Dowling Aves. N., Mls. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
