She was a native and lifelong resident of McIntosh County. She was a carpenter, homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Darien. Her husband, Gene Clark, preceded her in death.
Survivors are seven daughters, Jeannie Webb, Paula Clark, Cheryl Fields, and Bobbie Sanchez all of Townsend, Denise Clark and Eugenia Stutts of Brunswick, and Kathy Maulden of Charleston, S.C.; three sons, Wilbur Eugene “Sam” Clark, Jr., James “Catfish” Clark, and Billy Joe Clark, all of Townsend; a sister, Effie Young of Townsend; 26 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 2:00 P.M. at the Darien Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Branch President Richard Padgett, Jr. and Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Young’s Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Mrs. Clark’s residence on Clark Trail on Friday, March 27, at 4:00 P.M.
