Death of Aged Resident

Sarah Barlow, age 85, widow of the late James M. Barlow, died Sunday night, after an illness of several weeks at the home of her son-in-law, Fred Breedlove. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home in charge of Rev. Ernest Prevo of Mulberry, former pastor of the Methodist church here. Burial was in Maple Hill. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Charles McClain, Mrs. Fred Breedlove; two sons, Henry and Walter Barlow, one uncle, Abram Hoadley, all of Plainfield; two sons, William of Constance, Minn., and Virgil of Little Rock, Ark.
She was the daughter of Isaiah and Elvira Hornaday, born April 6, 1851, near Avon, where she lived until her marriage. She and her husband lived near Brownsburg but had been residents here for forty years. The husband, a civil war veteran, died in 1922 and a son, Albert Barlow, died in 1928. She was a member of the White Lick Presbyterian church.
