Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Five Points with the Rev. Cecelia Broome officiating. Burial will follow in Skyview Cemetery in Roanoke.
Mrs. Cole is survived by three daughters, Mattie Lois (William) Washington of Santa Monica, Calif., Henrietta Johnson of Atlanta, Ga. and Evangeline Sanders of Five Points; her son, Anthony (Marlease) Cole of Atlanta, Ga.; her brother, John (Dorothy) House of Detroit, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Born May 14, 1905, in Wilcox County, Mrs. Cole was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Five Points. She was a retired teacher from the Chambers County School System, with more than 40 years of teaching.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
