Graduated from Boston University (1898). Charter member of Pi Beta Phi (Fraternity for Women). She was a teacher in the Worcester school system. She married Albert Boyce Black on March 1, 1916. She was a member of the Concord, Massachusetts Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She also participated in other benevolent organizations through out the rest of her life. On her death, she established the Albert B. and Evelyn H. Black Scholarship Fund.
