Ethelyn "Evie" Anderson, 95, of Battle Creek, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Northpointe Woods Pineview. She was born December 29, 1917 in Traverse City, MI the daughter of Calvin and Mary (Madden) Hubbell. She married Dr. Robert J. Anderson on September 29, 1945 in Muskegon, MI. Evie was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Marywood Country Club, Battle Creek Country Club and Kingsway Country Club in Port Charlotte, Florida. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her family. Evie loved cooking and was wonderful at it. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Mary Lynne (Robert J.) Bennett; son, Dr. Ronald (Sherry) Anderson; 4 granddaughters; 5 great grandchildren; and brother, Paul Hubbell. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Percy, Gordon, Walter and Walker Hubbell; sister, Lois Benway; and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Karl N. Strenge of Redemption Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to American Red Cross.
