(FIVE POINTS) Services for Deborah Ann "Debbie" Blackmon, 50, of Five Points, formerly of a resident of Delta for 22 years, will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Derek Farr and Gerald Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Wehadkee Cemetery, Rock Mills.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Mrs. Blackmon died Thursday, Sept. 24, at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Tanya Seals of Lilburn, Ga., Shauna Buttram of Oxford and Charlotte Reyes; one son, Charles Blackmon; paternal grandparent, Emmerline Huddleston of Wedowee; four brothers, Ray Huddleston of Heflin, Winfred Huddleston of Anniston, Alex Huddleston of Newell and Alfred Huddleston of Wedowee; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Winfred Huddleston Jr., Michael Hanson, Thomas Huddleston, Edward Huddleston, James Huddleston and Wendell Huddleston.
Mrs. Blackmon was born Oct. 8, 1958, the daughter of Brewer Edward and Emmerline Duke Huddleston. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Delta and had been a respiratory therapist for Clay County Hospital, Carraway Hospital and Randolph Medical Center. Mrs. Blackmon was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Blackmon; her father; and one daughter, Candice Kay Buttram.
