Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nowlin Chapel at First Baptist Church, Gadsden, for Mrs. Louise "Miss Louise" Carlisle, 75, Gadsden, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2008. The Rev. Bryan Blass will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing. Mrs. Carlisle was a beloved mother and grandmother and was a preschool teacher at First Baptist Gadsden for 28 years and touched many precious lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh D. Carlisle; mother, Estella South; father, Dewey Huddleston; and brother, Randy Huddleston. Survivors include her children, Jon Paul Carlisle and Sara (Rick) Washburn, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jake, Shelby and Brody; brother, Joe (Mary) Huddleston; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Larry Brittain, Eddie Nichols, Scott Morgan, Ricky Johnson, David Goodwin and Buford Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ralph Wesley, George McSpadden, Craig Ford and the Rev. Jim Stanton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Weekday Ministries.
