Vona Lea Allman
VINCENT - Vona Lea Allman, 72, of Vincent died March 13, 2003, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in July 11, 1930, in Cairo, a daughter of the late Earl and Leota Elder Hudkins. She worked for the Wood County Board of Education and raised several foster children. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Parkersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Clarden J. Allman; four daughters, Sheilah Whipkey and her husband, Thomas, of Parkersburg, Shirley Walker and her husband, Clark, of Westland, Mich., Sharon Giffen and her husband, Bill, of Vincent and Pamela Hawkins and her husband, Mike, of Parkersburg; three sons, Jeffrey Allman and his wife, Tammy, of Vincent, Clarden L. Allman of Orient, Ohio, and Clayton Allman and his wife Margaret of Vincent; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Zella Barker of Parkersburg; one brother, Earl Hudkins; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Wease; her second husband, Wendell Morton; one grandson, Donald Wease; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Tatman Funeral Home of Belpre with the Rev. Robert Barker officiating, assisted by the Revs. Robert Cornell and Roger Barnes. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been arranged in honor of Vona Allman, c/o Clarden Allman 2372 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent, OH 45784.
