Marietta H. Cavern, Jan. 24, 1905 - June 29, 2002, Marietta H. CAVERN, 97, Sebring, Fla., and formerly of Niles, Mich., died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday at Lake Placid Health Center, Lake Placid, Fla. Born at Kewanna to J.C. and Clara D. MARTINDALE HUDKINS, she married Walter G. CAVERN on April 20, 1963, at Edwardsburg, Mich. He died Jan. 7, 1980. A 1924 Kewanna High School graduate, she was a homemaker and member of Kewanna Baptist Church, Women of Moose at Buchanan, Mich., LaPorte Order of the Eastern Star and Rochester Rebekah Lodge. She was a Past District Deputy of Rebekah's District No. 23. Survivors include a stepson, Donald CAVERN, Washington, D.C.; a sister-in-law, Bonnie HUDKINS, Sebring, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded by three brothers, Byron, Waldron and Walter [HUDKINS]. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna. Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Kewanna Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
