Funeral Rites Held For E. A. Hudson, Retired Wholesaler
Services for Edmund A. Hudson of 352 West Onondaga Street, son of Syracuse pioneers, and former head of the Hudson Brothers, Inc. wholesale grocery firm, who died Tuesday, were conducted at the home Thursday at 3:30 P.M. The Rev. Paul H. Hays, pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Dr. Ray Freeman Jenney, pastor of Park Central Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Born in Syracuse 84 years ago, Mr. Hudson was the son of Albert Alonzo and Jeanette Ashley Hudson. Mr. Hudson and his brother founded the Hudson grocery concern and continued in business until 1926, when they merged with S. M. Flickinger Company.
Bearers were Roy D. Shiele, E. G. Hossling, A. G. Hancock, Dr. L. W. Bagg, Hudson A. Smith and L. F. Smith.
