RESOLUTION: This is what is believed to have happened -- The cemetery map [Sec 1,G Lot 18] shows "Mrs. Brown" and this was mistaken for Alice Hudson Brown. It was actually Eliza J. (Leaman) Brown, the elderly mother [mother in law to Alice]. Eliza Brown died on 17 Feb 1897 and was interred on 19 Feb 1897. The information [see Richardson reference, above] for Alice Brown says she died on 19 Feb 1897 ... however, records document her living in 1900 in San Jose with her son, Charles. Also, with the confirmation that Arthur and Alice were divorced in 1892 [Arthur's memorial], it is unlikely that she was then buried in the same grave as her ex-husband. - Research contributed by Dawn Nielsen, via email June 26, 2023.
