She married Harold Grainger Burden in Loma Linda in September 1925. They lived in Sydney, Vancouver Island, from 1925 to 1938.
In 1938, they moved to Colorado where Mrs. Burden's husband, a doctor, was affiliated with Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver.
They moved in 1952 to the Napa Valley, where her husband practiced until retiring in July 1965.
She was a nurse at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for two years in the late 1950s.
Mrs. Burden moved to Washington in fall 1984 to be near her family.
She is survived by two sons, Harold O. Burden of Boring, Ore., and Kenneth Burden, M.D., of Chehalis, Wash.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
