Cecil Allen 'Buddy' Hugghins, born January 19, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Forrest and Evelyn (Mathis) DeWitt. He passed away April 2, 2007 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was married to Norma Verrier on May 19, 1960 in Oklahoma City. Buddy enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his garage when he wasn't working at the school. Buddy retired from the Oklahoma City Public School System in 2002 as a maintenance engineer after serving 22 years. During his tenure with the Oklahoma City Public School System, he received several awards. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and family. Buddy is survived by a son, James Hugghins and his wife Janet of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Sherri Musgrove and her husband Jim of Oklahoma City; brothers, Morris Hugghins of Bethany, and Forrest Hugghins of Oklahoma City; a sister, Geraldine West and her husband Bill of Jones, OK; and 3 grandchildren, Tiffany, Patricia, and Brandon. He is preceded in death by his wife Norma, daughter Deanna Rudewick, both parents, and one brother, Jerry Hugghins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2007 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
