Joe served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was employed by L-K Industries, Inc. for 68 years, President /CEO for 49 years.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Clarence and Nellie Dua (nee Harris) Hugghins, and his brothers, Ernest, John and Billy Guy, and granddaughter, April.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Beverly Kennon Hugghins, sons: Tom and wife, Linda, Kennon and wife, Maryanne, Bill; daughters: Debbie and husband, Steve, Ruth and husband, Russell; grandchildren Debe, Desiree, Angie, Colin, Corrie, Chelsea, and Christie; great-grandchildren Charlie, Todd, Timothy, Carlie, Roston, Tommy, Keenan, Briggs, and Jocelyn.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Forest Park Lawndale.
Private family burial Friday, with a Memorial Service to be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Houston's First Baptist Church.
