Marilyn L. Grunwald, age 81, passed away April 26, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born Aug. 8, 1929, in Pueblo, Colo., to James and Nadine Hughes. Following graduation from Pueblo Central High School, she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. She worked as an administrator at M,S&G until her retirement in 1989. Marilyn is survived by her son, Michael Grunwald and wife, Margaret, of San Antonio; grandson, Steven Grunwald of San Antonio; sisters, Joyce Oxford and husband, Ray, and Marian Gustafson and husband, Dick, of Pueblo; nephew, Daniel Oxford and wife, Chris, of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, San Antonio, Texas. Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, Porter Loring North Chapel. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 4440 Piedras Drive, Suite 125, San Antonio, TX 78228 or a charity of choice.
