Wendell Hull, 61, Olney died Monday, August 17, 1982 in Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Mr. Hull was born in Olney January 14, 1921, the son of Kelly and Mary (Bohnstedt) Hull. He married Avis Elder in Olney June 28, 1942 and she survives.

He was retired, having owned and operated Hull Motors in Olney for 28 years. He was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, BPOE Lodge 926, Richland Post 30 of American Legion; Olney Memorial Post 4226 VFW and the Air Force Historical Society, and was also a member of Olney Planning and Zoning Commission.

He was a veteran of World War II and remained active in the Air Force Reserve throughout his life, retiring in 1981 as Lt. Col.

Other survivors include a son, Frank, Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Julia Hull, Olney; a brother, William Hull, Olney; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Anderson, Olney; Mrs Toby (Carol) Bush, Jacksonville, Ark.; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Hull, Olney; four nieces and four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister.
