It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) on July 4, 1990 after 42 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Jeff (Gail), Steve (Jane), Philip (Kim), Alexis (Phil) and Kathy (Mike); and also by her grandchildren Kate, Samantha, Robert, Michael, Brittney, Danielle, Antonio, Stephanie and Scott. Margaret is also survived by her sister Edith, and nieces and nephews dear to her heart. Margaret loved her family and was forever "taking care" of us all! Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Cathedral, 514 Carnarvon Street, New Westminster, BC, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC at 12:00 pm. Reception for friends and family to be held at the Canoe Club, 2 - 6pm, 501 Klahanie Drive, Port Moody, BC (off Ioco Road, left on Murray Street, left on Klahanie). The family would like to give special thanks to Crossroads Hospice Society and to the Tri-Cities Nursing Staff who assisted the family in keeping our mother in the home she loved. Forever in our Hearts, we Love You and know that you are at peace, free from pain and with your Beloved Bill. The Family welcomes donations to Crossroads Hospice Society, P.O. Box 1072 Ridgeway Avenue, Coquitlam, BC V3J 6Z4.
