Frances A. Ambroselli (1938 - 2016)

MOULTRIE, Ga. - Frances A. Ambroselli, of Moultrie, passed peacefully Sunday (June 19, 2016) at the Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Born on Dec. 3, 1938, in Paterson, N.J., Frances was a daughter of Alvin and Gertrude Snyder Hulme.

She learned perseverance early, attending 27 grammar schools; graduating from Ten Broeck Academy in Franklinville, N.Y., with the Class of 1956; receiving a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University in 1986; and finally completing her master's degree from St. Bonaventure while teaching at Belmont (N.Y.) Central School, where she retired.

During retirement, Frances restored the Woodworth Home, which became known as the Villa-Serendip Bed and Breakfast in Cohocton, N.Y. After 11 years of operation, the Victorian marvel was lost to a devastating fire. Not to be kept down, Frances persevered and found the Barber-Tucker Inn in Moultrie, where she was blessed with cherished friendships.

Frances is survived by four children, Nicholas (Judy) Ambroselli of Kalamazoo, Mich., Paul (Valerie) Ambroselli of Olean, N.Y., Elayne (Jeff) Stone of Canandaigua, N.Y., and Charles Ambroselli of Woodstock, Ga. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her teenage sister, Trudy; and brother, Louise.

Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
