Laura Janette Hunt Ballard, 70, Rexburg died at the Madison Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Born in American Falls to Forrest Lafayette Hunt and Virginia Elsie Adkins Hunt, Janette grew up singing with her two sisters in church and community events. Graduating from American Falls High School, Class of 1953, she attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. In the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, she married Kendall Lee Ballard August 29, 1956. A member of the LDS Church, she enjoyed gardening, genealogy and her grandchildren.
The mother of nine children, 33 grandchildren and one great grandchild, surviving members include her husband, Kendall; children: Elsie and Josh Wach, Linnie and Lyle McCellan, Rudey and Kelly Ballard, Peggy and Richard Strobel, Dan and Wendi Ballard, Richard and Maradee Ballard; and siblings: Steven and Betty Hunt, Lennie Hansen, Ellen and Var Belnap. Preceding Janette in death are her parents and three infant sons.
