Alexander C. Husak, 55, of 342 Liberty St., chairman of the Second Ward Republican Club, died early yesterday morning of a coronary attack.
He was stricken while attending a Republican First Voter's Rally at LeMoyne manor at which the Republican vice presidential candidate's wife, Mrs. William E. Miller, and two daughters were in attendance. he had earlier attended a Republican Rally at the Polish Community Home.
Mr. Husak, a sales representative for Monarch Liquor Co for more than 30 years, was a member of the Onondaga Republican Committee, Empire State Republican Club and Syracuse Adelphi Club. He was a former supervisor.
He also belonged to the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church of which he was a communicant, Sacred Heart Athletic Club, St. Albert's Society, St. Louis Club, Sacred Heart Boosters Club, Professional Business Men's Association and the Business Men's Athletic Club at the YMCA. He was a former trustee of the Sacred Heart Church and president of Sacred Heart's Usher Group.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Regina Husak; a son, Alexander V. Husak; three sisters, Sister Mary Anicetta and Sister Mary Carmelita of Buffalo and Mrs. John Gaworecki; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 8 a.m. at the Bordynski Funeral Home and at 8:45 in Sacred Heart Church where a solemn high Mass of requiem will be celebrated. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Active bearers for the service will be Edward Kreske, Alphonse Pawlik, Howard Hill, Frank Cywilko, and Walter Bartkowski.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at 1105 W. Genesee St.
