Albina Ann Husak, 97, of Tama, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home in Tama with a Vigil Service at 7 PM.
Albina was born on February 28, 1914, in Howard Township in Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Vince and Josephine (Halupnick) Kunch.
On June 3, 1941, she was united in marriage to Charles William Husak at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in rural Clutier. Albina helped on the farm raising chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits until her husband passed away. She enjoyed talking on the telephone with her friends and family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Charles in 1988; a son, Melvin; and one brother, George Kunch.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard (Arlene) Husak of Toledo and Lawrence (Susan) Husak of Toledo; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Husak of LeGrand; eight grandchildren, Jerome (Joanne) Husak, Michele (Eric) Werner, Ryan Husak, Chris (Kristine) Husak, Julie Husak, Matthew (Jessica) Husak, Tim Husak and Amanda Husak; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
