Ella Hutchens Martin was born August 30, 1832 {1872} to Brazwell and Caroline Landon Hutchens at Carrollton, Ill., passed away at her home March 27th at six P. M. at the age of sixty-two years six months and twenty-four days. Ella Hutchens was united in marriage to Frederick Beeler Martin March 20th 1898 at St. Louis, Mo. To this union were born two children, one daughter and one son, son, Robert Martin, and Mrs. Julia Lopp. She is survived by her husband Fred Martin, Robert Martin and Mrs. Julia Lopp; two grandchildren, Willella and Mary Jane Lopp; one sister, Mrs. Maria Resinger of St. Louis, Mo., and two brothers Lucius C. Huchens and Jasper Hutchens of Carrollton, Ill. In her early life Mrs. Martin joined the Christian church and has consistently lived a virtuous life. Her daily life speaks much better of her than words can ever express.
