Howard Mills Hutchins went to our heavenly Father on January 1, 2011. He was born January 2, 1912 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Harry Martin Hutchins and Ethel Lanore Mills. He attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He was in the 66th Ordnance Co. serving in World War II, rank Specialist Ammunition Ordnance. He worked many places in California and Illinois. He accepted a position at the Florida School for Boys as an industrial art teacher. He later taught Braille for the State of Florida school system, and retired from there. He moved to Edmond, OK in 2007. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Edmond. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; brother, Robert Bradford Hutchins; and Zelma Lain, his wife of 53 years. He is survived by Wilma Bradshaw, step-daughter-in-law; three step-grandchildren: Lynn Hosler, Rick Mathews, and Kelly Keen. His easygoing and congenial nature made it easy for all that knew him to love him. Services will be held 10am, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Memorial Park Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boy's Ranch Town, c/o First Baptist Church in Edmond.
