Ethel Innes Arnell, long time resident of Blackfoot, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Legacy House in South Jordan, Utah.
Ethel was born June 15, 1921 in Paris, Idaho to Earl Bird Innes and Catherine Wright Innes.
She attended and graduated from High School in Paris, Idaho. Ethel has lived in Paris, ID, Soda Springs, ID, Blackfoot, ID, and South Jordan, UT.
On February 18, 1941 Ethel married Stanley D. Arnell in the Logan LDS Temple in Logan, Utah.
Ethel was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as the Relief Society President.
Ethel worked as a housewife, taking care of her family. In her free time she enjoyed, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.
Ethel is survived by her sons, Russell (Margette) Arnell of Gilbert, AZ, Roger (Tamra) Arnell of South Jordan, UT; daughters, Joyce (Hugh) Park of Sandy, UT, Janis (Randy) Carson of Chandler, UT, Julie (Dan) Jones of Layton, UT; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Catherine Innes; husband, Stanley D. Arnell; and brothers, Russ and Wright Innes.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Grove City Cemetery. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to the service at Hawker Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
