Mary Patricia "Pat" Cheesman, 82, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013, at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.

She was born June 3, 1931, in Frankfort, the daughter of Glen H. and Gladys I. Kelley Irwin. On June 24, 1951, she married Hubert B. Cheesman; he preceded her in death March 18, 2011.

Pat was a 1949 graduate of Frankfort High School and lifelong resident of Frankfort. She worked at Central States Bridge Co. for four years in cost accounting and later part time at Subway. Pat was a past of member of Mt. Hope Chapel in Michigantown and currently a member of Christian Life Church in Frankfort. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Surviving Pat are one daughter, Trudy Kay (Butch) Beckner of Frankfort; one son, Rudy Ray Cheesman of Frankfort; sister, Betty Walker of Mulberry; sister-in-law, Peggy J. Irwin of Frankfort; brother, Robert Irwin of Frankfort; grandchildren, Chad (Natalie) Hodgen and Evan (Kristen) Hodgen; and six great grandchildren, Danielle, Taylor, Hannah, Sam, Layla and Ben.

In addition to her husband, Pat is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Brenda Kay; and one brother, Glen Irwin Jr.

Visitation for Pat will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 11 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Phillip Jordan will officiate.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
