Clinton County Woman is Survived by Son, Harry Z. Boyd, of Thorntown.
The Frankfort Morning Times of Wednesday says:
Mrs. Sarah Boyd wife of J. N. Boyd died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the family home in the Scotland neighborhood, her demise being caused by heart trouble, after an illness of two weeks duration.
Mrs. Boyd was past 71 years of age. Her maiden name was Sarah M. Irwin and she was born June 30, 1841. On June 26, 1860, she was united in marriage to P. S. Stoops, who died April 12, 1866. To this union four children were born, two of them, Mrs. F. M. Robison, of Indianapolis, and W. S. Stoops of South Bend, survive. On February 2, 1871, the deceased united in marriage to J. N. Boyd. Of three children born to this union, only one, Harry Z. Boyd of near Thorntown, survives. Besides her husband and three children, she leaves four sisters, three brothers, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian church and a faithful Christian. Funeral services will be held at the church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
