Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Mildred Ruth Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Greer High School Class of 1960 and went on to graduate from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Funeral Director and Embalmer with the J.F. Floyd Mortuary for 25 years.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, SC beaches, and his church. He also loved his five lady Chihuahuas who were always by his side; Princess, Sissy, Lady, Daisy, and niece-dog, Prissy. Mr. Jackson was a member of Northgate Baptist Church, the Joy Club, and a life-long member of Bailey Masonic Lodge #146.
In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, he is survived by a special sister-in-law, Ruby Tumblin of Taylors; a special aunt, Jessie Kay Cox Jackson of Fairplay; one sister, Valerie Johnson; and two brothers, Mike Jackson, and Don Jackson, all of Greer.
Burial: Woodlawn Memorial Park.
